Big Kid Toys

Everyone loves to lavish a newborn baby boy or baby girl with cute and adorable gifts, gift baskets and toys but after the initial thrill a lot of people have trouble buying gifts when the little one starts to grow up. Honestly, a lot of people buy baby gifts because they think it’s cute and the little bundle of joy really has no idea what he or she is getting. It’s when the little tyke starts to think for himself that gift buying becomes harder. Don’t get fixated on the idea of that baby being a baby forever, rather welcome his growth and development and spend some time getting to know what his or her interests are to find great gifts and toys that will provide hours of fun and entertainment.

Boys and girls love toys that roll, especially pedal cars. Too many people think toy cars are just for boys but with women racing at Daytona and the Indy 500 it’s time to face the fact that girls love racing too. There is a tremendous selection of high quality pedal cars in many unique and fun styles including limited edition chrome racing cars, police cars, taxi cabs and fire engines. Pedal cars also branch out into more imaginative models such as vintage army planes and all chrome ace flying planes. Your little boy or little girl will love cruising the neighborhood in their very own car and dreaming up their own scenarios for races, police chases and casual Sunday drives.

Another good idea for a growing boy or girl is unique furniture such as jumbo glove kid’s chairs. By now the growing toddler has outgrown his high chair and is antsy to relax in furniture that he finds comfortable and has a style he can appreciate. The jumbo glove chair is uniquely shaped like a baseball glove, has a soft, plush feel and at 2’ wide can comfortable seat any size toddler boy or girl. Again, a baseball glove can just as easily be a softball glove so that chair that you think is just for the little guy can just as well suit the little gal of the house too.

When kids start to grow they try to emulate adults more often. Tired of being treated like a baby they want respect and a great way to encourage their development is with kid businesses. One great option for getting kids to act a little older is with well crafted and sturdy grocery/lemonade stands. Made with solid wood and featuring all fabric awnings the play stand also includes portable plastic bins to hold merchandise, removable chalkboard signs to announce sales and new products and a spacious countertop to serve drinks and display other items. No matter what your little boy or girl wants to be when they grow up running a grocery stand or lemonade stand is a great way to get them started on being an entrepreneur and acting like a grown up.
